A birth at a really unhandy time…

August 30th, 2008

Baby Andrea really upset our schedule this summer when she arrived a day before Michelle’s sister’s wedding and several days before her due date.  Michelle planned to spend the day before the wedding helping with preparations but after a period of denial she was forced to admit the baby was making its appearance when she heard its first cries… We are used to waiting up to weeks after the due date for our babies so we really didn’t think this would happen.

21 hours after the baby’s birth we left the house and arrived at the photo shoot before the afternoon wedding… this baby may have wrecked our plans but we were not going to miss the all-important family pictures!  Michelle did not actually go to the wedding but she did get to stay close to the church and come up for the reception dinner.

Birth Announcements and more… our new business?

August 22nd, 2008

No we do NOT have another announcement to make.  But somehow or other we have gotten involved in making birth announcements and other picture collages for friends and family recently.  This work is typically done during the precious evening hours after the children are put to bed!  Michelle provides the artistic ideas and I figure out how to do it in the GIMP.

Here are some samples of our work.

So far our business model is somewhat problematic as it has not turned a profit.  We did land a $50 Red Lobster gift card for one project which for us is quite satisfactory. :)
